Ellen has been working in the non-profit field since 2004. She joined The Goldenberg Group team in 2011 as the Director of Civic Engagement. Her work focuses on the company’s People Helping People Foundation including Philadelphia’s monthly volunteer projects, Adopt-a-School program, community partnerships, and the organization’s extensive programming in Kenya and Ivory Coast.
In 2004, she co-Founded CHOSA (Children of South Africa), a non-profit that supports community-based children’s projects in informal settlements in South Africa. She lived in Cape Town until 2008 where she developed after-school programs and raised $200k annually through grassroots initiatives. Prior to joining TGG, Ellen worked as the Associate Director of Development at the Anti-Defamation League and spearheaded the organization’s first WALK Against Hate.
Ellen is a proud member of Central High School’s 260th graduating class and earned a BA in Psychology from The George Washington University in 2004. She is an alumnus and serves on the Board of Directors of Operation Understanding.
